As a Health and Safety Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in advising and supporting our clients to ensure their compliance with health and safety regulations, promote a safe working environment, and mitigate potential risks effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance and advice to clients on a wide range of health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and audits at client sites, identifying hazards and recommending appropriate control measures to minimize workplace risks.
• Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and management systems tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.
• Offer practical solutions and recommendations to improve health and safety performance, aiming to reduce accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses.
• Assist in creating and delivering training programs for employees and management to enhance their understanding of health and safety protocols and responsibilities.
• Stay abreast of industry developments, trends, and changes in legislation, updating clients on any implications for their operations.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to foster a safety culture and promote continuous improvement in health and safety practices.
• Conduct incident investigations, analyzing root causes, and developing corrective and preventive actions to avoid future occurrences.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation to communicate assessment findings, recommendations, and progress to clients and internal teams.
• Provide ongoing support and follow-up to ensure the successful implementation of health and safety initiatives.

Requirements:

• A degree, NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma or equivalent qualification in health and safety, risk management, occupational health, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Consultant or similar role, with a track record of successfully supporting diverse clients in various industries.
• Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical skills to assess risks, conduct audits, and develop effective strategies for risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and deliver training effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple client projects concurrently.
• Proficient in using health and safety management software and tools.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with emerging health and safety trends.
• Flexibility to travel to client sites as required.
